This 'nerd site' was created and developed by Maurivan Luiz, a brazilian interface designer living in Curitiba (south of brazil).

Born in 1988, January and working with web development since 2001. I'm a Web Interface Designer and Front-End Engineer and live currently in Curitiba, Brazil.

I'm extensively skilled, with strong backgrounds in a variety of media. My general strengths include positive attitude, professionalism, dedication, communication skills and work ethic. These strengths make me extremely flexible and capable of being an invaluable team member, taking the initiative and being productive on my own.

My interfaces are inspired by simplicity, straight lines, music, life, and the world around us. Each design is original and produces the effects that client wants.

Rickrolling is a descendant of an older Internet joke called duckrolling. A Web site or blog post would offer a link to something popular — say celebrity photos or video gaming news — that led unsuspecting viewers to a bizarre image of a duck on wheels.

For rickrolling, the duck was replaced with the 20-year-old Astley video, and in the last year it has become a hugely successful “meme,” the Internet’s word for an idea repeated across the Web. Clipmind Open your mind

Personal project developed with André Arruda and Felipe Ferreira

A very typic twitter sytem, a microblogging that allows users to follow news, cover of events , with very elegant UI, which can be handled in cellphones, e-mail notifications or by IM. Also is integrated with public API of flickr, youtube, opensocial and OpenID.

The users could use (widgets) to display last updated of clipmind into user's blog.

For elaboration propouses the project was realized with strong study case of Architecture, usability and user's behavior that make use of theses services very often.

Oi Internet Prototype

The target conection about this project was the teenagers.

After a burning brainstorm in garden (Yep! that was you tought We had a free green garden available for us), We developed the prototype with new concept of navigation.

The prototype design was based on grids well defined and a typography also different. In technology field, the project was beging developed with Flex technology, and very integrated with based mwPublisher also done in Flex, wheres mwPublisher is the CMS develop by Midiaweb.

Prototype let users to interact with search and results that was viewed in single modes and applyable, within neural navigation, bringing content like (video, photos and articles), related between it. The content was splited by based color tag.

iPhone Oi Interface

We had a blast putting together the original ‘Mundo Oi' , so when Oi Internet asked us about developing and designing an iPhone web app for Mundo Oi, we were thrilled. After all, what could be more ex citing than developing a simple interface for a simple content website on the easiest-to-use phone out there?

We started by boiling down Mundo Oi to its core features: easy searching, media content by type and streamlined content pages were a must. Then using Joe Hewitt’s iUI as a springboard, we created a custom interface that feels at home on the iPhone but carries a uniquely “OI Internet” feel.

We paired that with the mwPublisher backend and the final product? All of the texts on the popular portal, reformatted for easy reading and navigation on the iPhone.

Kraft Foods Lacta Game AD

I had a pleasure to be part of this brainstorm side this project with crew of Midiaweb

Challenge? To create a advergame to Lacta, with very simple interface for childrens play and interact with brand.

Name of game? In good and old english "Lacta's Mission", the persuit of "Softness", for Kraft Foods of Brazil.

It was a hard spent of time in this brainstorm to get into for ideal point, sort of simple, attractive and good user experience.

Advergame was divided into thress step phases.

Kraft Foods Institucional

To strengthen the relationship with audience after the change in packaging (for sachets of boxes), Royal Industries has launched in 2007 a on-line communication channel showing your portfolio and history of success of its line of desserts.

For the institutional website of the Royal Desserts focus was the presentation of products. Aiming to attract the attention of consumers, especially the female audience, the site had a simple and intuitive navigation a modern layout and well prepared, especially highlighting the new packaging of desserts.

And for that consumers can recall some special moments, were displayed on the site some commercial running on TV during the 80s and 90s.

Kraft Foods Clube do Bocão

Success between kids in the 80s and 90s. The challenge was to restore contact with the brand promoting the relationship with an audience of different ages, ie, reaching not only children but also their mothers.

Through a survey that examined the behavior of children and mothers on the Internet, it was possible to identify points of interest to guide the public and the information architecture, design and content of the site for these profiles.

"Clube do Bocão" was created to provide utility and entertainment for children and adults through tips, recipes, jokes, games and other activities that promote experiences and encourage the participation of users. To further strengthen the concept of "club", they can become members registering at the site (entitled to a virtual card).
